New age Wars
So an era comes to an end after Saddam got hanged. For some it was a victory of the good over evil, for others it was a sad day, and they carried the name of Saddam thru their offspring. Some ridiculed and abused him as they knew he cannot do anything to them, he was encaged. It is like taming a lion and then trying to show off one’s bravery after giving him not even a single option. Heads you loose and tails we win! Human Rights group, Head of States, and whosoever got a chance made the best out of the new world order gathering at the place where maximum limelight was, This includes my dhobiwala who shows emotions for Saddam as if his own brother died. I wish this guy visited Iraq under his dictatorship. A man whose country was invaded, was deceived by his own relative and got caught, he was kept alive for 2 years with a trial whose legitimacy itself is being questioned. Americans showed their might before the whole world by capturing him with the help of one of his relatives. Perhaps this was a pure sales deal, kind of barter. The way war has been fought and won traditionally has changed over five decades. Now it is like, “We will be able to cut a deal”. And after the capture maintaining peace is even tougher. That is not helping anyone as armies stationed there don’t have clear understanding about the desert and moreover, none can be trusted. Anyone can back stab, if they can do to their former president they can do to anyone. May be letting him be president and elimination of his sons would have solved the purpose a warning may be giving him a message “Better behave yourself and maintain the peace of the region including your country’s”. There can be thousand thoughts that can come up in one’s mind. Now Iraq is in a state of crisis where they have to give protection money for maintaining the “Peace” they are enjoying today. What and Irony!
